Ny administrerende direktør for danske olie- og gasaktiviteter

Esbjerg, 9. september 2024 - TotalEnergies Denmark har fornøjelsen af at annoncere udnævnelsen af Ole Hansen som administrerende direktør for virksomhedens olie- og gasforretning med base i Esbjerg.

Ole Hansen vender tilbage til den danske organisation efter to år som præsident og administrerende direktør i USA, hvor han ledede selskabets olie- og gasaktiviteter i USA.

"Jeg er meget begejstret for at være tilbage for at tiltræde stillingen som administrerende direktør. Min karriere startede i den danske Nordsø for 24 år siden, så jeg er dybt engageret i både organisationen og den rolle, Esbjerg kommer til at spille i Danmarks energifremtid," siger Ole Hansen.

Ole Hansen er en stærk leder med omfattende erfaring fra TotalEnergies og tidligere Maersk Oil i forskellige operationelle og kommercielle roller i Danmark, Storbritannien, Singapore og senest i USA. Ole Hansen har også haft næstformandsposten i Energy Cluster Denmark.

Olie og gas dækker fortsat næsten 50% af Danmarks energiforbrug, og TotalEnergies er Danmarks førende producent. Derfor spiller TotalEnergies en afgørende rolle for at bidrage til mindre afhængighed af importerede produkter.

”Vores mål som multienergiselskab er sammen med vores kunder og samfundet at nå klimaneutralitet i 2050. Opgaven er at udbygge fremtidens energiløsninger, samtidig med at vi sikrer forsyningssikkerhed under omstillingen. Tyra projektet spiller en nøglerolle i den sammenhæng, og vi er fuldt fokuseret på at få bragt Tyra op i fuld produktion,” siger Ole Hansen.

Med virkning fra 1. september afløser Ole Hansen Eric Delattre, som tiltræder en ny stilling som administrerende direktør for et andet af TotalEnergies datterselskaber.

Med mere end 24 års erfaring i energibranchen har Ole Hansen haft drifts-, projekt- og kommercielle lederroller i Danmark, Singapore, Storbritannien og USA.

I september 2024 vendte Ole tilbage til Danmark som administrerende direktør for TotalEnergies EP Danmark - med virkning fra september 2024.

Forud for dette tilbragte Ole to år i USA, hvor han blev udnævnt til præsident og administrerende direktør for TotalEnergies E&P USA, Inc. i september 2022.

I 2019 til 2022 var Ole chef for forretningsudvikling & joint venture-management for TotalEnergies EP Denmark. Ole var også næstformand i bestyrelsen for Energy Cluster Denmark, en energi- og teknologiinnovationsklynge, der støtter landets energiomstilling.

Efter at have arbejdet i mange år i Maersk Oil i forskellige roller, herunder Operations Director i Storbritannien, Head of Operations i Danmark og Asset Manager, tog Ole en aktiv rolle i virksomhedens overgang til TotalEnergies (2018).

Ole har en B.S. i Marine Engineering fra Fredericia Maskinmesterskole samt en HDO i Business Administration fra Syddansk Universitet.

Ole bor i Esbjerg med sin kone og to døtre.

New Managing Director for Danish oil and gas activities

Esbjerg, September 9, 2024 - TotalEnergies Denmark is pleased to announce the appointment of Ole Hansen as Managing Director of the Company's oil and gas business based in Esbjerg.

Ole Hansen returns to the Danish organization after two years as President and CEO in the US, where he led the Company's exploration and production activities.

“I am excited to be back to take up the position as Managing Director. My career started in the Danish North Sea 24 years ago, so I am deeply committed to both the organization and the role Esbjerg will play in Denmark's energy future,” says Ole Hansen.

Ole Hansen is a strong leader with extensive experience working in TotalEnergies and previously Maersk Oil in various operational and commercial roles in Denmark, the UK, Singapore and most recently in the US. Ole Hansen has also held the position as vice-chairman of Energy Cluster Denmark.

Oil and gas still covers almost 50% of Denmark's energy consumption, and TotalEnergies is Denmark's leading producer. TotalEnergies plays a crucial role in contributing to the Danish and European security of supply to reduce our dependency on imports.

“Our goal as a multi-energy company - together with our customers and society - is to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. The task is to develop the solutions of the future while ensuring security of supply during the transition. The Tyra project has a key role in this respect, and we are fully focused on bringing Tyra fully back in operation,” says Ole Hansen.

Effective September 1, Ole Hansen replaced Eric Delattre, who has taken up a new position as a Managing Director of another TotalEnergies affiliate.

Ole Hansen’s background

Managing Director, TotalEnergies EP Denmark

With more than 24 years' experience in the energy industry, Ole Hansen has held operational, project and commercial leadership roles in Denmark, Singapore, the UK and the US.

In September 2024, Ole returned back to Denmark as Managing Director of TotalEnergies EP Denmark – effective from September 2024.

Prior to this, Ole spent two years in the US where he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of TotalEnergies E&P USA, Inc. since September 2022.

In 2019 to 2022, Ole served as Head of Development, Business & Joint Ventures Management for TotalEnergies. Ole also served as Deputy Chairman for the Board of Energy Cluster Denmark, an energy and technology innovation cluster supporting the country’s energy transition.

Having worked for many years in Maersk Oil, in various roles including Operations Director in the UK, Head of Operations in Denmark, and Asset Manager, Ole took an active role in that company’s transition to TotalEnergies (2018).

Ole holds a B.S. degree in Marine Engineering from Fredericia School of Marine Engineering, Denmark, as well a Graduate Diploma (HDO) in Business Administration from University of Southern Denmark.

Ole lives in Esbjerg, DK with his wife and two daughters.
