Supporting early careers
We strive to support young talent in TotalEnergies Denmark, both those brand new to us and those who have already started their careers with us. We do this through the creation of internal networks, mentorship within the organization as well as within our local community. We promote STEM education and have created both graduate and apprentice opportunities within our organization. Thus, we aim to bring the multi-energy industry closer to young talent and for it to be an attractive place to work.
Sprouts network
In our Esbjerg affiliate, Sprouts helps foster a positive initial work experience for students and helps them improve their network and skills within TotalEnergies through professional and social events. The group is self-driven by a mix of current and former student assistants. Through professional seminars, networking, knowledge-sharing and social events, young employees are encouraged to collaborate and share experiences.
Sprouts is open to our 100+ employees below the age of 35, which includes student assistants, graduates, interns, and full-time employees.
Mentorship
Mentorship empowers employees and supports the interconnection of colleagues throughout the organization. We participate in mentorship programs within our affiliates, globally, and by reaching out to our local communities.

Education Esbjerg mentorship program
TotalEnergies EP Denmark established a partnership with Education Esbjerg in May 2023 to promote and develop Esbjerg as a city of learning, to connect TotalEnergies with the local community and to attract current university students to the company as future talents.
As mentors, our colleagues get to develop their coaching skills, foster a young person’s professional journey and broaden their own network and horizons. Here mentors from TotalEnergies and other local companies in South and Southwest Jutland are matched with higher education students a year before their graduation. The matching process considers respective educations, industries of interest and what the students have requested sparring with, as well as the mentors’ areas of expertise.
The time spent mentoring as a part of this program also count into our employee volunteering program – Action!
TWICE mentorship
TWICE, TotalEnergies’ network for Women, is a global initiative within TotalEnergies open to women and men, with both our Esbjerg and Copenhagen locations boasting local networks and each have a mentorship program.
The goal of mentoring is to contribute to women's professional development by helping them successfully manage the different stages of their professional life. It also enables them to develop a network. The program has received excellent feedback and seen 2000 mentors & mentees participating in the program since 2010, with both local and global versions.

Promoting STEM from a young age
TotalEnergies Denmark takes part in a variety of initiatives to inspire young people in local communities move towards futures in STEM.
Graduate and apprentice positions
As a new initiative, TotalEnergies Denmark will also be welcoming graduates and apprentices. During their 2.5 years with us, graduates will complete two to three assignments in various departments, gaining broad exposure to our organization. Each journey includes three rotations across the Esbjerg affiliate and potentially abroad, ensuring the development of a diverse skill set and deep operational understanding.
Our first apprentices are joining us later this year, where depending on their chosen path, they will be taking the practical part of their 4-year electrician education (Elektriker 1 or 2) with TotalEnergies EP Denmark. These apprentices will acquire a unique insight into working offshore.
Our organization continues to be supported by student assistants, as well as interns in a wide range of disciplines, including our technical and business support lines. Our student assistants get ample opportunity to combine their studies and theoretical knowledge with practical experience from an international, high-performing energy organization.
