Our ambition is to be a key player in the energy transition and achieve net zero by 2050, in collaboration with society. We are committed to:
- Reducing emissions from our operated industrial facilities (Scope 1+2)
- Reducing indirect emissions associated with the use of our products (Scope 3)
To achieve this, we are reinventing and diversifying our energy offerings to provide renewable and decarbonized energies to our customers, while continuing to supply the oil and gas needed today.

We are committed to applying our expertise and high operational standards to protect and support the natural environments in which we operate. Our key priorities are:

In Denmark, we are committed to enhancing our operational efficiency and sustainability efforts through energy-saving measures, digitalization, and innovative technologies like Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS).
Most of our operations are located far out in the North Sea, where its rich ecosystems have long been a focal point for environmental research. Understanding the complex life beneath its waves is crucial for the sustainable development of the energy industry while minimizing its impact on marine ecosystems.
In 2024, together with our partners, we’ve launched the North Sea Environment Portal. It is a groundbreaking tool that provides access to over 40 years of environmental and biodiversity data from the North Sea.
This portal will support informed decision-making for sustainable development and help monitor the impact of offshore activities on marine ecosystems.
Our community engagement initiatives, such as annual campaigns like” Bike to Work” or supporting the local clean-up of our communities, actively involve employees and local residents in supporting our environmental efforts.
These actions all align with Denmark's ambitious carbon neutrality goals and our TotalEnergies’ global sustainability objectives.
