Employee volunteering
Action! is our global volunteering program, designed to give all employees the time and the means to get involved in their local communities
With a special focus on young people, it enables all staff across the world to spend up to three working days a year volunteering within four priority areas: Road Safety; Climate, Coastal Areas and Oceans; Youth Inclusion and Education; Cultural Dialogue and Heritage.
Our employees can participate in various types of volunteering activities, including:
- A helping hand: Assignments with no direct link to the volunteer’s professional expertise
- Skills-Based: Assignments that require the volunteer’s professional skills
- Mentoring: Recurring assignments that support young, socially disadvantaged people
In Denmark, we have engaged in several community initiatives where our employees regularly volunteer, including:
Garbage collection
For several years, we have joined Danmarks Naturfredningsforening in their annual waste collection campaign for a cleaner Denmark. Regardless of the weather, our employees enthusiastically roll up their sleeves to lend a hand to keep our city streets, parks and beaches clean.
Safeguarding biodiversity
As part of our partnership with Wadden Sea National Park, our employees have engaged in projects to support wildlife in the park. This includes setting up fences to safeguard bird populations and promote breeding of rare species in the Wadden Sea area.
Christmas aid
Every year during the holiday season, we partner with the Red Cross and Mother’s Aid through our Wishing Tree campaign to support families facing challenges. Our employees help fulfill the holiday wishes of children in need.
Engaging with and giving back to communities is of significant importance to TotalEnergies Denmark. The Action! program exemplifies our commitment to driving positive change at a local level.
