Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping
TotalEnergies is a partner with Mærsk McKinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping. The center is a not-for-profit organization that conducts independent research and development with the goal of accelerating the development of a maritime industry whose net emissions of greenhouse gases will go to zero.
The world's 100,000 commercial vessels consume around 300 million tonnes of fuel each year, and shipping thus accounts for around 3% of global carbon emissions.
Together with its partners, the center drives and facilitates the development and implementation of new technologies, creates confidence in new concepts and matures viable strategies that can drive the necessary change in systems and legislation.
